Careers
Arq is a new organisation, and the people who join us now will shape who we become. We are looking for people who see incomplete systems as opportunities, think in positive-sum terms, and bring genuine curiosity to the technology and policy questions we work on.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every qualification listed. If you do not see a current opening that fits your profile but believe you would be a strong addition to the team, we want to hear from you anyway.
Team

We are an interdisciplinary team of researchers, policy professionals, and operators who came together around a shared conviction: that Europe's preparation for advanced AI systems is too important to leave to chance.
We combine backgrounds in mathematics, philosophy, economics, sociology, engineering, public administration, AI, and AI governance, and we have worked across think tanks, Member State governments, EU institutions, and leading universities before joining Arq.
Open roles
Current opportunities to help build Arq's research, policy, and operational capacity.
Operations Associate
Build and run Arq's operational backbone across finance, HR, compliance, and IT. A broad generalist role at a Brussels-based AI think tank where you'll help shape the systems the organisation runs on.
Events Associate
Own end-to-end logistics for Arq's policy convenings while supporting the team's external engagement. A high-ownership role at a Brussels-based AI think tank with real scope to grow.
Deputy Director of Policy, Brussels
Serve as Arq's principal point of contact with the Brussels policy ecosystem, deputising for the Director of Policy and building the relationships, intelligence, and engagement strategies that help Arq's research reach the right audiences.
