
David leads Arq's research on Europe's strategic positioning on advanced AI, builds interactive tools to make research actionable, and represents Arq to policymakers and researchers.
Previously, at the Centre for Future Generations, David led several reports including AI Preparedness: Robust Policy Options for Europe; Beyond the AI Hype; and We Have No Science of Safe AI; and co-authored the CERN for AI blueprint and Europe and Geopolitics of AGI. Earlier, he founded and led Effective Thesis, a non-profit guiding students into high-impact research careers, and worked at the Czech Science Foundation evaluating research funding programmes.
David holds a BA in Psychology from Masaryk University and an MSc in Organisational Psychology from the University of Leeds, and began a PhD in Sociology of Science at Charles University in Prague.
